Vigilance Detects Flat, 14 Acres of Farmhouses, 32 Plots in Koraput AEE DA Case

Vigilance Unearths Huge Assets During Raids on Koraput AEE:
Odisha Vigilance officials have unearthed substantial assets during ongoing searches linked to Sri Satyanarayan Sethy, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Kotpad Block in Koraput district, in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) investigation. According to Vigilance sources, searches conducted at multiple locations have revealed a flat, two large farmhouses, dozens of valuable plots, gold ornaments, and cash allegedly owned by Sethy and his family members. Among the properties detected so far is a 2-BHK flat measuring around 1,000 square feet at Hi-Tech Plaza in Jatani, Khordha district. Investigators have also identified two farmhouses spread across more than 14 acres at Taragaon under Boriguma Tahasil in Koraput district. One of the farmhouses covers 10.03 acres and consists of mango and eucalyptus plantations, while the second spans 4.35 acres with Nilgiri plantations. In addition, Vigilance teams have traced 32 valuable plots located across Jeypore, Koraput, Boriguma, Kotpad and Patangi Tahasils. Officials said the exact market value of these properties is being assessed by the Vigilance Technical Wing. During the raids, officials also recovered cash worth ₹5.48 lakh and approximately 300 grams of gold jewellery. Details regarding bank deposits, postal savings, insurance policies and other financial investments are currently being verified. The Vigilance Department stated that the searches are still underway and further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses. The total value of the assets will be determined after the completion of valuation and verification processes. The case is being closely monitored as investigators continue to scrutinize the sources of income and assets linked to the engineer and his family members.
