All three looted Rs 3.97 lakh from staff of Kalumba LAMPS office

On Monday, 28 th June, police arrested three people for allegedly robbing more than three lakh rupees from a woman employee of Kalumba LAMPS office under Brahmantrang police in Sundergarh district.Police said that there were two brothers and sisters in the arrested persons, who were identified as Chattisen Lakhra of Badagudali village and Rajat Anand Tirki of Paban Lakra and Rajgangpur peasants. A pistol, Rs 10,000 cash and a TVs Apache bike were seized from them.

Brahmanchranga IIC Santosh Jena told that before plundering the female employee, the accused persons had planned to loot the LAMPS office and were keeping an eye on the movement of the workers.On June 28, the accused Chitrasen and Rajan reached the Kalumba LAMPS office on the motorbike of Jab Paban around 10 B in the morning. Jena said, she targeted a female employee stationed in a new office, who took away Rs 3.97 lakh from the Strong Room."

The two then stopped the woman employee in a secluded place and snatched a bag full of cash on the tip of the gun. During interrogation, the arrested trio revealed that they had spent a lot of money buying a motorcycle and other things. Only 10,000 rupees were charged from them, "
