Crocodile carcass recovered from Kharasrota River in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: The carcass of a five-foot saltwater crocodile was recovered from Kharasrota River near Balatara ghat under Aali police limits in Kendrapara district on Friday.

According to reports, locals spotted the dead reptile's carcass floating in the river near the ghat early this morning and alerted the Rajnagar forest department officials about the same.Later, forest personnel reached the spot and seized the carcass for post-mortem.Though the exact reason behind the crocodile's death is unknown, the cause will be ascertained following the autopsy, officials said.
