Three injured as wall collapses in incessant rain

Athgarh: Three persons of a family sustained critical injuries after the wall of their house collapsed on them late last night following a landslide in Bishnupur village under Tigiria police limits in Cuttack district due to the incessant rain triggered by cyclone Titli.The injured persons have been identified as Kuna Swain (35), Ranjana Swain (30) and Litu Swain (17).
According to sources, the incident occurred when the family members were asleep in the night and the wall of their house collapsed as a portion of hill crumbled down on their house because of heavy rainfall.
Following this, locals rushed to help the injured and informed the fire service personnel.The fire brigade reached the spot and admitted the injured trio to Athgarh hospital. The three were later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as their health condition deteriorated due to internal injuries.
