Youth Dies In Road Mishap, Locals Block Bhadrak-Chandbali Road

Bhadrak: Vehicular movement on the Bhadrak-Chandbali main road was disrupted on Saturday following a demonstration by locals protesting the death of a youth in a road accident near Baharpal village in Bhadrak district yesterday.

Irate locals had staged the road blockade by placing the dead body on the road and burning tyres to press for compensation for the family members of the deceased Chinmay Pallai. Chinmay was injured after he was hit by a speeding Bolero vehicle coming from Chandbali side yesterday. Though Chinmay was rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, he later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Following the road blockade agitation, several vehicles were stranded on both sides of the road.
